Technical Training Institute-Chumey aspires to be the Centre of Excellence in woodworks. However, it provides courses related to construction sector as well. As of 2024, there are four departments which are Masonry, Carpentry, Plumbing and Welding. Apart from them, the institute is also starting a Diploma course for site supervisor.
The institute also has Academic subjects which are Technical English, Applied Dzongkha and Applied Mathemaics. In addition, it is also mandate for the trainees to attend a 15-day basic Entrepreneurship Course and 68 hours of Ethics, Integrity and Professionalism Module.
